PRAYER FOR THE SICK
Merciful Father, comfort those who are in torment and anguish, come and visit your son/daughter... who is sick. Just as you came to Peter's mother-in-law, be with him/her and heal him/her, so that when he/she is restored, may go about, building your creation, to make it a better place to live in. Give us the courage,
perseverance and faith, always to accept what comes from you, give us a mind and heart of Jesus, so that like Him, we may bring your healing touch to all whom we meet. Amen.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS
Lord Jesus Christ, Shepherd of souls, Who called the apostles to be fishers of men, raise up new apostles in Your Holy Church. Teach them that to serve You is to reign, to possess You is to possess all things. Kindle in the young hearts of our sons and daughters the fire of zeal for souls. Make them eager to spread Your Kingdom upon o Pater’s as those who are in torment and anguish, come and vearth. Grant them courage to follow you, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life; Who lives and reigns forever and ever Amen. Mary Queen of the Clergy pray for us. Help our students who are preparing for the priesthood.

PRAYER OF HUSBAND & WIFE
O God, we want to live our life together with you and always to continue it with you. Help us never to hurt and never to grieve each other. Help us to share all our work, all our hopes, all our dreams, all our success and all our failures, all our sorrows and all our joys. Keep us always true to each other, and grant that all the years ahead may draw us ever closer to each other. Grant that nothing may ever make us drift apart. And as we live with each other, help us to live with you, so that our love may grow perfect in Your love, for You are the God whose name is love. This we ask for love's sake.

A BIRTHDAY PRAYER
O God, I thank you for giving me another year of life. I thank You for everything which I have been enabled by You to do and to be in the past year. I thank you for all the experiences of the past year; for times of success which will always be happy memories; for times of failures which reminded me of my own weakness and of my need of You; for times of joy when the sun was shining; for times of sorrow which drove me to You. Forgive me for the hours I have wasted; for the chances I have failed to take; for the opportunities I have missed in the past. Forgive me that I have not made of life all that I might have made of it, and could have made of it; & help me in the days which lie ahead to make this the best year yet, and in it to bring credit to myself, happiness to my loved ones, and you to You. This I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

PRAYER ON A WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
O God, we thank you that You have given us another year of life together. We thank you for the love which grows more precious and the bonds which grow more close each day. We thank you for the happiness we have known together; for the sorrows we have faced together; for all the experiences of sunshine and of shadow through which we have come up today. We ask your forgiveness for any disloyalty on our part; for any times when we became difficult to live with; for any selfishness and inconsiderateness; for any lack of sympathy and of understanding for anything which spoiled even for a moment the perfect relationship which marriage should be. Spare us to each other to go on walking the way of life together and grant that for us it may be true that the best is yet to be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER BEFORE AN OPERATION
Heavenly Father, as I face this operation, I come to You with my fears and misgivings and ask You to put into my heart the needed courage to face this day with confidence in Your goodness and loving protection. May the knowledge that You do not sleep while I am in deep sleep, be an assurance to me that I need not worry nor be afraid. Calm my nerves, put my mind at ease and in Your Mercy forgive me all my sins. Give to my surgeon the wisdom and skill to do this task with ease and perfection. Bless all who minister to me this day. Give to my loved ones the reassuring faith that You are with us. Calm all their anxieties during these coming hours.
Into Your hands I entrust my healing and well being. All this I ask, Father, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

PRAYER TO PROTECT LIFE
Loving God, I thank you for the gift you gave and continue to give me and to all of us. Merciful God, I ask your pardon and forgiveness for my own failure and the failure of all people to respect and foster all forms of life in our universe. Gracious God, I pray that with your grace, I and all people will reverence, protect, and promote all life and that we will be especially sensitive to the life of the unborn, the abused, neglected, disabled and the elderly. I pray too, that all who make decisions about life in any form will do so with wisdom, love and courage. Living God, I praise and glorify You as Father, source of all life, as Son, Savior of our lives and as Spirit, Sanctifier of our lives. Amen.

PARENTS' PRAYER
Father, how good it is to call you by that name. It helps me to remember that you understand what it means to have children. Who depends upon you when you entrusted children into our hands, you gave my husband (wife) and me on of the greatest joys of life. You admitted us into the wonderful work of your creation. As the years pass and little feet and hands assume new dimensions, and young minds acquire new knowledge and attitudes, help us to be understanding and loving, patient, attentive and alert. Enable us to guide without dominating, to inspire without preaching, to love without demanding, to challenge without burdening, to communicate without prying, help us to recognize the marvel of individual differences and to appreciate uniqueness more than success or achievement May our children, who are yours be brought closer to you daily. Amen.
